About the role

This position is located at the Northeast Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The Materials Handler receives, stores, moves, and maintains stock and supplies using manual, mechanized, and automated equipment and inventory systems to support pharmacy operations.

Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Logs the receipt and storage of stock. Independently loads and unloads shipments from trucks, rail cars, and other material conveyances using knowledge of warehouse plans. Verifies bills of lading and identifies and reports discrepancies in received shipments. Operates forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, side loaders, stacker cranes, and automated guided vehicles to move materials. Operates automated storage vehicles and uses remote terminals to receive and transmit locator data. Handles hazardous or sensitive materials and prepares shipping and inventory documents required for manual or automated inventory systems. Ensures the accuracy of quantities, identification criteria, and labeling; updates inventory records and prepares reports on inventory status. Organizes, arranges, assembles, and delivers stock in storage areas and uses optical readers, scanners, and computer keyboards to load computerized inventory data, access inventory information, and fill item requisitions. Conducts cycle counts on a regular basis using optical scanners to maintain inventory accuracy. Stacks, moves, and arranges items on pallets while considering height, weight, and special handling requirements; uses pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure load and storage requirements are met and damage is prevented; operates mechanized and electromechanical warehouse vehicles and performs routine operator maintenance. Performs duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Full-Time; Monday through Friday; 1st Shift- 5:15am to 3:00pm; 2nd shift- 2:30pm - 11:00pm Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not authorized.
