IT SPECIALIST (INET)

Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information.

Develops plans, schedules, and estimates resource requirements to deliver web products. Analyzes factors such as site usage, availability of current data, and purpose of the site.

Tests, debugs, modifies and validates web information before releasing the product to the customer. Coordinates with field sites to implement web policies.

Considers downloading time of information, tables, site navigation, and security standards. Uses programming language (e.g., HTML, Java Script) to develop code for web page.

Conducts fact-finding meetings with customers to specifically identify web page/internet requirements.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
