Automation, Logistics & Innovation (A.L.I) Lead
Position Summary:
The A.L.I. Lead is responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support of automated material handling and warehouse automation systems across Raymond Central's service territory. This position supports a variety of automation technologies and manufacturers while delivering safe, efficient, and professional service to customers.
The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning and safety.
*This position is remote with extensive travel for business needs, but requires that you live within the Raymond Central footprint.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: For Automation including Kardex, Autostore, iWarehouse, iWOS, De-Stuffits, Conveyor, etc. and Trucks when applicable.
- Project Leadership: Lead installs and major repairs of Destuff-its, Conveyor, PFlow and AutoStore, ensuring the right technicians are assigned for successful execution.
- Closeout & Documentation: Closeout Builds, ensure FQRs have been completed and acceptance forms are signed.
- Training: Kardex Trainer, Autostore, Destuff-It Trainer and Conveyor Trainer
- Quoting Support: Aid with quotes for larger repairs, moves, Pflow installs, and accessory add-ons coming from sales and field teams.
- Sales Collaboration: Partner with sales on customer walkthroughs to help create a more seamless handoff from sales to execution.
- Scheduled Maintenance (SM): Help develop a more structured approach to SM follow-ups post-install.
- Cross-Functional Support: Serve as a backup for other areas of Automation when needed.
- Service Council engagement monthly.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle report
- At least ten (10) years of experience working in a technical role (mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic, etc.)
- Ability & willingness to travel as often as business needs dictate
- Meet the physical job requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is also preferred:
- Industrial automation
- Material handling equipment
- Automated storage systems
- Conveyor systems
- PLC or controls troubleshooting
- Industrial electrical systems
- Mechanical installation
- Field service
- Equipment commissioning
- Preventative/Scheduled Maintenance
- Robotics or automated warehouse systems
