JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Cycle Manager is responsible for assisting with facilities collecting outstanding Accounts Receivables (AR) in accordance with Nexion Corporate policy and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Under the direct supervision of the VP of Revenue Cycle or CFO, the Regional Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing the AR within a region.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
- Review facility aging on a weekly basis.
- Work closely with Regional Financial Specialists (RFS) and identify facility needs.
- Ensure timely billing for Medicaid, Medicare, co-insurance, hospice, insurance, private, and managed care.
- Travel to facilities as needed to assist with collections and account resolution.
- Work closely with underperforming facilities and closed/transitioned facility aging.
- Schedule and facilitate monthly Accounts Receivable (AR) calls and weekly RFS calls.
- Monitor cash collections, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Medicaid Pending accounts, and AR performance.
- Set up and remove users from RevSpring.
- Review monthly statements and coordinate with RevSpring.
- Review CoreCare and correct discrepancies in applied income, levels, and account data.
- Add unbillable MXB and pending amounts for AR analysis reports.
- Review and approve/reject bad debt in Core.
- Monitor trust fund audits and bi-annual audit compliance.
- Create, edit, and submit Veterans Affairs (VA) claims for billing.
- Track IME requests and required submissions.
- Perform AR calls based on DSO and Medicaid pending status.
- Perform bank reconciliations and refund reconciliations.
- Approve RFS expense reports and payroll.
- Maintain bed certifications in Point Click Care (PCC).
- Provide coverage for RFS staff absences.
- Review resumes and participate in hiring Business Office Managers.
- Handle referrals when BOM/RFS staff are unavailable.
- Set up new BOM access to required applications.
- Review and approve monthly occupancy reports.
- Reviewing billing exception reports and correct AR issues in PCC.
- Assist with month-end close and attend ADR calls.
- Read and respond to departmental communications and emails.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (databases, spreadsheets, word processing, etc).
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have minimum of 5 years of experience in Long Term Care as a Regional Financial Specialist or Manager.
- Must have working knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC).
- Must have working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid systems.
- Must have working knowledge of Resident Fund Management Service (RFMS).
- Must have basic understanding of (International Classification of Diseases 9 and/or 10 (ICD 9 and/or ICD 10).
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel and maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable on administrative practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position requires 50-60% travel to other nursing facilities.
- Shifting/moving intermittently during working hours.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Willingness to work and share Business Office Manager workspace.
- May be exposed to infectious diseases, substances, etc.
- Willingness to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum height of 5 ft., and be able to push, pull, move and or carry same weight a minimum distance of 50 ft.
