Performs initial editing and quality review of legislative bills using an XML editing system and locator coding.

Troubleshoots XML and production-related issues and processes assignments effectively while prioritizing work according to production schedules and deadlines.

Creates, maintains and distributes an electronic archive of completed XML bill files that are completed for both House and Senate legislation.

Coordinates the distribution and review of proofreader assignments and examines galley proofs returned by proofreaders or revised by readers.

Uses Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel proficiently to support document preparation, tracking, reporting, and production-related activities.

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
