About the role
THE OPPORTUNITY
BRC presents a distinctive opportunity for an accomplished financial executive to lead the financial stewardship of one of New York City’s largest and most complex human services organizations. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, working closely with newly appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Kelly Quirk, the Chief Financial Officer will oversee a multifaceted financial operation supporting large-scale direct service delivery, extensive government funding, and a significant real estate portfolio.
With a new CEO and strong programmatic and operational foundations in place, this role offers the opportunity to modernize BRC’s financial infrastructure, develop a talented team, strengthen decision-making, and ensure the organization has financial resilience to sustain and expand its impact.
Operating within a predominantly government-funded model, the CFO will navigate complex regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, reimbursement structures, cash-flow dynamics, and long-term capital commitments. In partnership with the CEO and senior leadership team, the CFO will develop and execute a flexible, multi-year financial strategy that aligns resources with organizational priorities and strengthens BRC’s long-term financial sustainability.
Leading a finance department of 26 professionals, the CFO will strengthen financial reporting, controls, systems, planning, and team capacity while upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. The CFO will also serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, senior leadership, and Board of Directors and will build productive relationships with government funders, auditors, lenders, and other external partners.
