Experience in a pet boarding facility or veterinary practice is a plus.

What you’ll do:

Provide pet hospitality: nurturing care, gentle handling, and calm routines for pets of all ages

Keep boarding areas clean, comfortable, and safe (bedding, bowls, runs/kennels, laundry, sanitation)

Deliver enriching, age-appropriate activities: potty walks, playtime, quiet time, and comfort measures

Monitor closely for changes in appetite, behavior, stool/urination, coughing/sneezing, limping, stress, or pain—and report concerns promptly

Administer Medications and Spa Services

Communicate with pet parents to provide peace of mind (updates, observations, and a friendly, confident handoff). You will schedule boarding reservations, intake and discharge our pet guests.

You’re a great fit if you

Are dependable, kind, and detail-oriented - weekends are required

Can handle a physically active day (lifting, cleaning, walking dogs and play)

Stay calm, organized, and take pride in doing things the right way

Enjoy sharing our boarders' fun activities on social media

Enjoy being part of a team that treats boarding as more than “pet sitting”—it’s comfort care and trust

At Prairie Hills, boarding isn’t just a service—it’s a promise to keep pets safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while their families are away.
