Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in OWEGO, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public responders when required.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
