About the role

The North America Industrial Strategy – Asset Recovery & Data Specialist will be a key contributor to Asset Recovery, Industrial Strategy initiatives and manufacturing special projects across the North American Region.

This role will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting Asset Recovery performance while leveraging historical and current data to develop advanced analyses, simulations, forecasts, and business recommendations.

The position requires a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing operations, vehicle launch and lifecycle planning, manufacturing equipment, and supply chain sourcing. The specialist will serve as a key knowledge resource for Manufacturing Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders where asset reuse, project feasibility, benchmarking, and KPI support are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track, analyze, and report Asset Recovery performance, including reuse, redeployment, resale, and other recovery opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain Asset Recovery KPIs, dashboards, databases, benchmarks, and management reporting.
  • Utilize historical project and manufacturing data to develop simulations, forecasts, benchmarks, and recommendations for future programs.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment reuse and redeployment across plants, programs, and vehicle platforms.
  • Support manufacturing project feasibility studies by providing historical benchmarks, asset availability, reuse opportunities, and cost data.
  • Prepare and present analyses, recommendations, and project updates to cross-functional leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Asset Recovery processes through automation, advanced analytics, AI/LLM tools, and standardized reporting.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated equipment, with experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Body in White (BIW)
    • Paint
    • General Assembly
    • Powertrain
    • Stamping
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and related productivity and analytical tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independently managing assignments and delivering results under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective communication across organizational levels and functional areas.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Vehicle assembly and/or vehicle launch experience
  • Experience developing and administering databases supporting KPIs, project planning, financial analysis, or manufacturing performance.
  • Experience with manufacturing asset reuse, equipment redeployment, capital planning, or asset recovery processes.
  • Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing equipment, project planning, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing benchmarks, predictive analyses, simulations, or forecasting models.
