Director, Corporate Planning & Finance

Director, Corporate Planning & Finance will develop and lead Yamaha Motor Financial Services FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) global function and strategy. Drive the enhancement and standardization of regional FP&A capabilities, including pricing analysis and decision-support processes, to improve business performance and financial insight. Lead special projects for regional and headquarter reporting, while building collaborative relationships with regional leaders.

What You’ll Do

• Bring regional FP&A functions including pricing analyses to consistent and common framework
• Evaluate regional FP&A functions
• Design ideal shape of regional FP&A functions
• Have clear consensus about future regional FP&A with region
• Manage FS global budgeting & management reporting together with CP&F colleagues
• Deeper understanding about global budgeting including YMC expectations
• Strong alignments with Nozomi (Global), Joseph (Single) & Country Managers in CP&F
• Develop global FS database eventually to have global FS dashboard
• Manage several FP&A related projects to meet expectations by President or SVP of CP&F
• Develop management reports to YMC (monthly report, BEPM, economic status, etc.)
• Be ready for effective/efficient D365 budgeting
• Develop FP&A related activities for YMFC regions (ROA/ROE, Op Cost, accuracy, etc.)
• Customer support (executive team), various ad-hoc requests
• Support company objectives and performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring 

• BA / BS – Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline required.  Master’s degree, MBA, CPA or CFA preferred
• 10+ years of FP&A related work experience required; preferably with a large multi-national company
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in managing people, developing and maintaining operational processes
• International experiences/education in life and experience with a Japanese/Korean company required
• Advanced level user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of SAP (S4 Hana and Bl) or similar ERP system preferred.  
• Experience influencing senior management and key stakeholders effectively across organization preferred.
• Global communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multicultural teams and regions.  Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across cultures and all levels of management. Japanese language proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of business, economic, and market dynamics, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise, and actionable presentations and reports.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to organize, model, interpret and analyze data to generate valuable insights and support decision-making. Expert level financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple competing initiatives. Proven ability to work across complex organizations, build strong relationships, and align priorities among diverse stakeholders. Energetic, collaborative, and results-oriented leader with the ability to successfully manage individuals, groups, and teams.
