Quality Audit Specialist

The Quality Audit Specialist (QMS Specialist) is responsible for maintaining and improving the site's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with corporate, customer, and applicable industry standards. This position serves as the primary coordinator for internal and external quality audits, manages quality system documentation, monitors compliance to established standards, and drives closure of corrective actions resulting from audits, customer concerns, and management reviews.

The QMS Specialist works cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Human Resources, and Corporate Quality to promote a culture of continuous improvement and sustained compliance.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Business, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality systems, auditing, or quality engineering
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and process auditing
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality management databases

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Lead Auditor certification (IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001)
• Experience in automotive manufacturing
• Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC)
• Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification
• Experience coordinating third-party or customer audits
