Position Summary:
To provide support to staff related to assignments and project requests. To learn and understand process improvement methodologies and tools specific to Covenant Health along with proper usage. Observe, study, and analyze work areas to help develop recommendations aimed at improving efficiency, flow, etc.
Responsibilities
- Work with staff to develop project charters and outline work required to complete requests from Covenant Health organizations.
- Studies functional statements, organizational charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units to identify areas of duplication.
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples through time study statistics to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Performs departmental observation to learn and understand processes of that particular area along with evaluating the current workflows specific to the area.
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing of equipment.
- Documents procedures via text, charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate processes and additional related responsibilities as required.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Currently pursuing Undergraduate or Graduate degree.
Minimum Experience:
Class work relating to internship duties. Some experience in a professional or healthcare setting beneficial.
