The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO is searching for a Weapons and Tactics Manager, Delta 11/ 57TH Space Aggressor Squadron (SAS) (NH-0340-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: Purpose of position: Serves as the 57 SAS Weapons and Tactics Flight advanced training program coordinator. Develops, refines, and implements the unit's advanced training program. Coordinates with the intelligence flight to determine new, existing, and defunct adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures for inclusion/exclusion within the training program course materials. Coordinates with intelligence community members to deconflict intelligence record discrepancies within the Aggressor Threat Replication Guide. Employee plans and carries out assignments independently; conceives and defines solutions to highly complex problems; analyzes, interprets, and reports findings of projects; and guides technical and programmatic work of team members in comparable junior grades. Completed work and reports are reviewed for feasibility, compatibility with other work or effectiveness in meeting requirements or expected results. Position involves 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions. The ideal candidate will combine rigorous program management discipline with leadership, strategic mindset, and interpersonal agility necessary to drive squadron mission objectives forward. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of program management, principles, and practices to review, independently evaluate, and resolve difficult and complex program/project issues. Apply policy direction to contractors (within scope of contractual agreements) and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying processes, procedures, techniques, guidance, and advice to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of projects/programs related to mission objectives. 2. Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques; good understanding of the wider objectives of the program. 3. Strong proficiency in formal and non-formal communications, in verbal, written, visual, and listening with different groups to include, but not limited to peers, managers, leadership, customers and contractors. 4. Skill in managing risks and issues by taking corrective measurements. 5. Will strive to possess a good understanding of the management structure and culture of the organization and possess good change management skills with enough experience to manage very complex situations while maintaining focus on the squadron's objectives.
