Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU

Job Description​

The Opportunity: 

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas CIty is seeking a PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including; but not limited toorthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine.  

Shift Details: 

This is PT Day position ( 9am until 9:30 pm) 12 hour shifts. This position takes call. The call back requirement is 30 minutes.

The Work: 

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures. 
• Utilizes the nursing process  

• Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff  
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes  
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures  

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience:

1 yearAdvanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)Associate Degree
