General Supply Specialist

Serves as primary technical advisor for Emergency Supply Operations Center expedited supply and distribution operations, providing guidance on exception material release orders, urgent demands, and contingency requisitions.
Coordinates and tracks expedited movement of specialized commodities, high-priority assets, oversized cargo, and security-risk materials; responds to customer and inventory control point expedite requests.
Conducts analytical reviews of open, late, and overdue material release orders; researches logistics records to resolve delays, system rejects, administrative violations, and transaction history issues.
Validates inventory availability, resolves discrepancies, prepares reshipment documentation for shortages, and conducts post-operational reviews to prevent recurring supply and distribution issues.
Formulates recommendations to improve storage layouts, aisle configurations, rack safety, stock consolidation, and material flow based on turnover, dimensions, security, and handling requirements.
Conducts operational surveys of receiving, induction, picking, staging, packing, and dispatch processes; identifies constraints and inefficient methods and recommends workflow improvements.
Supports the Branch Supervisor by balancing and tracking workloads, ensuring quality of shipping and distribution documentation, resolving technical problems, and providing training, guidance, and mentoring to operational staff.

If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study. FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
