Medical Instrument Technician (Polysomnography)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida, Directorate of Surgery, Sleep Medicine. A recruitment incentive may be authorized. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense.

Perform, monitor and evaluate a variety of Polysomnography tests.

Prepare, calibrate, interface, and operate all equipment used in Polysomnographic procedures.

Explain procedures, and position patient to insure patient comfort for optimal recording of EEG.

Prepare and organize patient rooms with supplies required for appropriate Polysomnographic procedure and electrode application.

Monitor patient, diagnostic equipment, recording and video equipment throughout the night.
