STATUS: Hourly

DEPARTMENT: Assembly
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times, including housekeeping and compliance to safety rules.
- Understand information on cabinet labels.
- Know the locations of components in the inventory area.
- Pull the designated components for each cabinet label via voice system
- Place cabinet components into kitting cart.
- Pull completed kit carts to the designated cell area.
- Place kits onto infeed conveyor for builder presentation.
- Expedite missing or wrong parts.
- Willing to be cross-trained and accept additional task when need arises to meet customer demands.
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required
Education, Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret assigned tasks and instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and walk. Regularly use hands and arms to reach, lift, handle and move material. Speak and communicate with other employees. Be able to hear well enough to recognize warning signals, forklifts, voice commands (headset) and announcements. You must be able to recognize defects in wood products. Will be frequently required to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds, provide force to push and/or pull large carts (on wheels) full of parts with push/pull maximums between 55 to 65 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Indoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Safety glasses are required and work gloves are recommended. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
