About the role

Position: Quality Technician Team Lead - 3rd Shift M-F 11P-7A

Job Purpose: 

The Quality Inspector Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operations ensuring progress throughout the shipment of goods to the customer. You will be pivotal in working with your team to coordinate daily activities to meet inspection and customer service objectives. Responsible for the quality and shipment of goods to customers. The QITL should have knowledge of quality and inspection criteria. You will work cross-departmentally to ensure product flow to help streamline process and operations.

  • Responsible for all aspects related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Personnel (SQDCT) of the assigned Quality Department.

  • Coordinate daily activities with your work team to meet inspection and customer service objectives. 
  • Expected to have knowledge of the product flow across department’s for site-specific products that can streamline processes and operations for the customer. 
  • Will report to the Quality Manufacturing Supervisor daily to keep them up-to-date on all items going on during that shift. 

Supervisory Responsibility: No 

Qualifications: 

  • 6-months of seniority as a Quality Inspector required 
  • Must have current quality certifications in one- or multiple-product lines 
  • Have experience with our products 
  • Not have unjustified absences and/or disciplinary warnings in a minimum period of 6 months. 

Working Conditions: 

Production floor environment, duties performed indoors, moderate to quiet noise and comfortable temperatures. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition levels. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate. 

Physical Requirements: 

Frequently move about the production floor and office area to attend trainings as needed. 

Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time. 

Frequently operates a computer, enters data into systems, verifies information, etc… 

This position requires the ability to meet established near‑vision and color‑vision standards necessary for accurate inspection and product disposition. Employees in this role must be able to distinguish relevant visual details and colors as required to perform inspection activities and verify product conformity
