Paint Line Material Handler

Job Summary:

Paint Line is responsible for finishing doors and drawer fronts by applying paint and other coatings to achieve the desired appearance and durability. The process includes priming, painting, and curing the doors, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets aesthetic and functional standards.

The Material Handler supports the finishing process for doors and drawer fronts by ensuring movement, preparation, and inspection of materials. The Material Handler also sands components to optimize paint adhesion and assists with finish repairs to meet quality requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Load and unload materials onto conveyors and other equipment.
• Properly stack, position, and space components for efficient and safe handling.
• Inspect components for defects before and after finishing, ensuring they meet quality requirements.
• Sand doors and drawer fronts to ensure smooth surfaces and enhance paint coverage.
• Perform minor finish repairs to meet quality standards before and after painting.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, restocking as needed to prevent production delays.
• Ensure accurate tracking and labeling of materials throughout the finishing process.
• Support the clean-up and maintenance of work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth production flow.
• Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
