Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic Leader

About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 5000 employees.

Performs installation, assembly and operation of electronic controlled industrial production machinery.

Uses various hand, power and shop tools common to the trade of an electronic industrial controls mechanic

Works as lead assisting lower grade employees, communicate with manufacturer's representatives and apply modification/upgrades to obsolete machinery/parts.

Determines appropriate test equipment to troubleshoot complex electronic controlled production machinery such as multimeter, laptop, oscilloscope, ammeter, megger, etc.

Troubleshoots and repairs electronic subassemblies and components.

Analyzes or interprets data in order to repair or modify complex electronic production machinery utilizing blueprints/diagrams, schematics and perform final testing for proper operation.
