Materials Handler (Motor Vehicle Operator)

About the Position: This position is located within the Nutritional Medicine Flight at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Performs a wide range of ordering and receiving, including verifying shipments and handling discrepancies for subsistence and other supplies in a commercial kitchen.

Manages the storage of medical, non-medical, and office supplies by stacking, palletizing, and rotating items using a first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory system.

Maintains records and documentation by using computer systems to input data, track inventory levels, and manage purchasing accounts for various supplies.

Issues and delivers subsistence, medical, and office items by assembling requested supplies and ensuring all required paperwork is accurately completed.

Conducts and assists with weekly and monthly inventories to ensure accuracy and helps resolve any discrepancies found.
