Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Organizational Resources and Support Division, Emergency Management, Readiness, Logistics, and Support Branch, located in Indianapolis, IN This announcement has been amended on 10/05/2026 to extend the closing date to 10/13/2026.

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Organizational Resources and Support (ORS) Division, Emergency Management, Readiness, Logistics, and Support (EMRLS) Branch, Logistics and Administrative Support - East (LAS-E) Section. The LAS-E Section is responsible for providing administrative services for OFAM locations in the National Capital Region, Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast states and U.S. Territories where OFAM has personnel. The LAS-E Section's responsibilities include: workspace logistics, personal property life cycle management, supply and equipment monitoring, shipping and distribution of mail, managing nationwide wireless communication accounts, office planning, health and safety initiative oversight, special events planning, as well as ensuring continuity of operations. The LAS-E Section is responsible for the management of services and processes that promote the most effective working environment for CBP and OFAM employees in the areas of responsibility. This position starts at a salary of $90,341.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $117,446.00 (GS-12, Step 10) GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Typical work assignment include: Coordinating and executing a variety of logistical activities including the development and evaluation of policies related to the design and implementation of planning and controls submissions and the tracking of data and equipment. Evaluating logistics plans related to facilities, supplies, and equipment to identify potential delays or changes to requirements and recommending process improvements. Providing technical and policy support related to the implementation and maintenance of personal property management programs. Providing logistical support to field staff for a variety of matters related to the application of systems and programs. Assisting in providing direct support to working groups designated to identify efficient ways to provide better customer service and understanding of CBP and DHS policies and directives, as well as engagement with internal/external business partners (private sector lessor, their contractors, and service providers).
