Primary Purpose
Leads planning and execution of electric distribution programs, aligning resources and priorities to meet reliability and budget objectives. Drives process improvements and ensures readiness for emergency restoration efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Frequent, independent driving to meetings, company locations, field locations and/or active incidents sites while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance with traffic laws is essential to this position and cannot reasonably be accomplished via alternative transportation. Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages cross-functional project teams across engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure end-to-end accountability for capital project delivery.
- Manages field readiness for storm season and peak load conditions through inventory assessments, crew pre-staging, and contingency plan validation.
- Manages the project portfolio to ensure design, construction, budget, schedule, and regulatory compliance goals are met without adverse impacts.
- Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements and internal standards and communicates updates to field crews as needed.
- Leads field process standardization across districts or regions to improve consistency, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Develops and manages preventive maintenance optimization strategies to enhance reliability and reduce unplanned outages.
- Manages the analysis of workforce productivity and field performance metrics, implementing targeted strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce overtime, and minimize rework.
- Interfaces with leadership on strategic operational initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
- Ability to assess performance trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage supervisors and professionals to deliver operational and strategic outcomes.
- Ability to resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of electric distribution construction and maintenance systems, standards, and compliance drivers.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in a utility environment.
- Skill in influencing peers and partners beyond direct reporting lines.
- Skill in translating functional strategy into executable plans and programs.
- A valid California driver's license is required.
- Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification is required.
