Supervisory Police Officer (Patrol Operations)

About the Position: Works under direct supervision of the Police Chief at Fort Irwin, DES Military Police Admin Branch.
Supervise, plans, directs, and assigns staff assignments.
Develop plans and schedules for subordinate supervisors for the accomplishment of assigned missions.
Communicate performance plans to personnel, evaluates performance, counsels personnel, and recommends disciplinary actions.
Receive all requests for police support to special events, and in accordance with guidelines.
Develop and implements plans to support events.
Perform police officer duties when needed to assist in shortages.
Oversee personnel access to Fort Irwin by monitoring the identification and authorization of individuals and vehicles entering sensitive and restricted areas.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
