Operations Manager - Front Desk & Housekeeping

At Andaz 5th Avenue, we create experiences that are locally inspired, personalized, and memorable. We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager – Front Office & Housekeeping to lead daily Rooms operations and ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival through departure.
This role oversees Front Office and Housekeeping operations, with a focus on exceptional guest service, room readiness, cleanliness standards, associate development, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily Front Office and Housekeeping operations, ensuring consistent service and cleanliness standards.
- Oversee Front Desk, Concierge, Bell/Valet, Guest Services, and Housekeeping activities.
- Coordinate room inventory, arrivals, departures, priority rooms, and room readiness between Front Office and Housekeeping.
- Conduct guest room and hotel-area inspections to maintain cleanliness, presentation, safety, and brand standards.
- Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring effective resolution and follow-up.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop associates while promoting accountability, teamwork, and Hyatt service standards.
- Manage staffing and scheduling based on occupancy, business levels, and operational needs.
- Monitor labor, departmental expenses, supplies, and productivity while supporting established financial goals.
- Partner closely with Engineering and other hotel departments to resolve room-related issues and maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, guest privacy, cash-handling requirements, and operational standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, associate engagement, productivity, and overall Rooms operations.
Salary - $72,000 - $78,000

- 2–3 years of progressive hotel experience, preferably within Rooms Division, Front Office, or Housekeeping operations.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- College degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Strong guest-service orientation and sound judgment when resolving operational challenges.
- Proficiency with hotel systems and Microsoft Office.
- Flexible schedule availability based on business needs.
- Positive, visible, and hands-on leadership style.
