About the role

This position is located at Greater Los Angeles VA within the Nutrition and Food Service (NFS) Department. As the Supervisory Dietitian (Food Operations) you will work under the general supervision of the Supervisory Dietitian, Chief, Nutrition and Food Services carrying out the strategic and business aspect of the full food service operations section.

Support the Nutrition and Food Services goals in alignment with the broader medical center mission and coordinate section activities. Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory authorities while maintaining a "food forward" and Veteran-Centric focus. Provide food-operations-specific leadership. Serving as professional and technical advisor to staff and other health care professionals. Responsible in planning, directing, and assessing work of subordinate staff. Establish training plans for the food operations section. Develop and update policies and procedures and establishes and oversee a system for regulatory compliance.
