2nd Shift Material Handler

Position Purpose:

Performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verify materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments/locations. Prepares items for shipment.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to accurately pick and pack orders
• Receive and accurately stock incoming shipments
• Operate standup and sit-down Forklift
• Load and unload shipments
• Prepare shipment documents
• Communicate effectively with Warehouse Personnel and Supervisor
• Ability to maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Assist with assemblies
• Ability to accurately Perform inventory/cycle counts
• Organize, clean and maintain warehouse space
• Work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or comparable experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-year minimum Forklift Experience (certified)
• Steel toe shoes. All other PPE (eye protection, ear and gloves provided by the company)
• Physical stamina and strength
• Handle heavy equipment

Physical Demands:

• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

• Warehouse setting
