About the role

Summary:   Responsible for the transportation of Leech Lake Women’s Outpatient clients to and from program activities as scheduled. Will sit at front desk and act as security, monitoring doors and camera’s during groups.  Requires that all policies and procedures of the Division programs and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe be followed and adhered to and is guided by and adhered to by the code of ethics set forth.

Education Requirements and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D).  If not, must obtain G.E.D within 90 days.

One (1) year of similar work experience would be considered. 

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Familiarity with Leech Lake Reservation and Human Service Agencies in surrounding counties.

Possess good oral, written, communication, and customer service and organization skills.

Must have sincere motivation to help others.

At the time of hire must provide documentation of one (1) year sobriety and maintain sobriety for the duration of employment.

High degree of professional ethics.

Punctuality is a must, must be very reliable in attendance.

Understanding and sensitivity to Native American Culture.

Native American Preference.

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinate routes with counselor’s schedule for transporting clients to and from outpatient treatment, continuing care, medical and mental health appointments, childcare, referrals to prenatal and postpartum, immunizations, positive parenting education, children’s program, job, housing, legal, probation, courts, ICWA and other designated program activities in a courteous, respectful and timely manner.

Reports to counselors about client noncompliance and other program policies, which interfere with transportation scheduling.

Strictly adhere to Data Privacy, sexual exploitation and other program policies governing staff conduct.

Act as security during any evening group.

Watch cameras and doors.

Maintain /submit monthly reports on vehicle usage, mileage and client services.

Complete daily trip verifications and have clients sign. Turn in to supervisor weekly.  

Keep vehicles clean and well maintained at all times

Adhere to all transportation and billing procedures.

Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings as required.

Greet and route visitors and clients to appropriate program staff.

Ability to travel in and out of the state if needed.

Adhere to all A&D Programs policies, including compliance with Code of Ethics of LLBO and all confidentiality laws.

Adhere to LLBO Fleet Management Policies and Procedures.

Adhere to all passenger safety codes and traffic laws.

Adhere to policies governing staff conduct.

All other related duties as assigned.
