Job Summary
92NY’s Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact is seeking a Director to advance a portfolio of high-impact programs focused on leadership development, community building, and civic engagement.
This role will partner closely with Belfer Center leadership to help shape and deliver flagship initiatives including Women inPower, Share Our America, and the UpTide Accelerator. The Director will promote program strategy, oversee day-to-day execution, and help ensure strong program delivery, community engagement, and cross-functional coordination.

The Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact is 92NY’s social impact laboratory, incubating and scaling initiatives that strengthen community, expand opportunity, and drive civic participation.
Since 2013, the Center has launched more than 20 initiatives that have collectively activated over 100 million people. Its largest initiative, GivingTuesday, has grown into a global movement generating billions each year for organizations worldwide.
The Center operates with a start-up mindset within one of New York City’s most established institutions, combining innovation, community, and large-scale impact.
Job Responsibilities Include
Program Leadership & Execution
- Partner with Belfer Center leadership to advance a portfolio of initiatives, including Women inPower, Share Our America, and UpTide, ensuring strong execution and a high-quality participant experience.
- Help shape program strategy while overseeing day-to-day implementation across initiatives.
- Manage timelines, budgets, logistics, and cross-functional coordination.
- Represent the Belfer Center in external meetings, convenings, and partner engagements as needed.
- Provide direction and oversight to consultants, facilitators, interns, and other project-based staff supporting Belfer Center initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships across 92NY, including with marketing, development, programming, finance, operations, and other departments essential to successful program delivery.
Program Management
- Oversee day-to-day management of the Women inPower NYC fellowship, including recruitment, applications, workshops, mentorship, and community engagement.
- Manage and grow relationships with fellows, mentors, speakers, alumnae, nonprofit leaders, partners, and collaborators.
- Collaborate on the execution of Share Our America programming focused on strengthening connection, trust, and civic life, including facilitated experiences, partner coordination, and logistics.
- Partner in managing the UpTide Accelerator program and UpTide Showcase.
- Identify and help develop new program opportunities, strategic partnerships, and approaches that advance the Center’s mission and extend the reach and impact of its work.
Operations & Impact
- Develop and manage project plans, systems, workflows, and internal tracking tools.
- Track budgets and support financial reporting across programs.
- Establish KPIs and track program performance, participant engagement, and outcomes.
- Use insights and feedback to refine programming, strengthen execution, and support growth.
- Partner with development colleagues to support funder engagement, grant proposals, reports, and other materials demonstrating program strategy, progress, and impact.
Experience, Education, & Skills Desired
- 8+ years of experience in social impact, program management, community building, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage and execute complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Experience managing events, workshops, and cohort-based programs.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with partners, funders, or external collaborators.
- Experience developing presentations and materials using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Experienced with CRM and productivity tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Typeform, Mailchimp, and survey tools such as SurveyMonkey.
- Experience supporting budgets, tracking expenses, or managing program operations.
Work Environment & Requirements
40 hours/week, onsite, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be needed for events with limited travel, approximately 5%.

Compensation Range
$85,000 - $100,000
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
