About the role

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management. Collaborates with other with other disciplines to develop, implement, and coordinate a system of patient care delivery that promotes communication, teamwork, high quality care, patient satisfaction, positive outcomes, appropriate utilization of resources and cost-effective services. Sets goals for managing complex patient situations and whose practice is based on conscious, deliberate planning. Demonstrates competence in practice and decision-making, deliberate planning, and critical thinking skills. Integrates knowledge, skills, abilities, and judgment and is self-directed in goal setting for managing complex situations. Demonstrates the ability to cope with and manage competing priorities. The competent nurse evaluates others, coaches and mentors' others, and demonstrates leadership skills through collaborative efforts. Practices to the full extent of their education, training, and certification. Core functions are outlined in the clinical privileges that correspond with this position.
