About the role

The Area Training Operations Manager (ATOM) is responsible for delivering instructor-led technical training courses to Stellantis Dealership and Fleet Technicians, corporate personnel at Stellantis Technical Training Centers and mobile locations. The ATOM will assist each lead instructor in identifying dealership needs to meet Stellantis goals on minimum training requirements and launch training goals. 

In his/her instructor duties at their assigned training centers, they will:

  • Prepare for and maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency in all skill areas
  • Manage individual course registration and roster processing.
  • Maintain training vehicles, special and hand tools, classrooms, course hardware and components, diagnosis equipment, and software updates.
  • Advise dealers and fleets on training needs, as well as assist in the training development process.
  • Deliver Succeed as a New Instructor (SAANI) classes as needed

In his/her other administrative duties, they will:

  • Analyze and prepare potential solutions to non-budgetary or non-personnel deficiencies for training centers in the Business Center to present to Area Technical Training Manager(ATTM).
  • Prepare orders for items to support all training center operations in Business Center and present to ATTM for review and approval.
  • Maintain and audit the inventories for Business Center training centers to comply with the ATTM direction
  • Assist regional lead instructors in development of technical training schedule for the Business Center as directed by the ATTM.
  • Track progress toward technical training goals
  • Act as the ATTM’s liaison with the Business Center to implement technical training strategies.
  • Assist the Field Support Analyst and ATTM with special assigned tasks
  • Implement the Corporate Environmental processes at training centers as defined by the ATTM.
  • Assist the ATTM with developing current and future personnel, to include regional cross-training plans

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 year’s work experience as a Technician in a dealership and or experience delivering automotive technical training curriculum 
  • Ability to interact effectively with various personality types
  • Strong communication skills -- written, verbal and platform
  • Ability to multitask and work in a rapid paced environment
  • Familiarity and ease with office automation programs (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of service diagnostics procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology is preferred
  • ASE Certified - Automotive
  • Spanish language skills
