Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

About the Position: The Practical Nurse (Outpatient) provides support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir VA, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinicwith a variety of medical conditions.

Record vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders.

Perform direct nursing care to clinic patients via tele medicine, virtual, and face-to-face care.

Medication administration and observation.

Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.

Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments.

Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.
