About the role

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM), Medicare Plan Payment Group (MPPG), Division of Payment Analysis and Policy (DPAP) As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-15, you will perform the full range of supervisory duties for a staff of GS-7 through GS-15 employees. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities.

Provide leadership in the development and implementation of Medicare Parts C and D payment policies and methodologies.

Lead complex data analysis and policy development related to Medicare Advantage and Part D bidding/payment.

Direct/manage complex projects and Division deliverables.

Perform supervisory/management responsibilities for a professional staff, GS-7 - GS-15.

Serve as an expert advisor and rep on Medicare enrollment and payment systems and Parts C and D payment matters.
