The Transportation Industry Analyst duties include: Lead Deepwater Port Licensing Efforts: Direct and oversee the evaluation of complex, high-profile deepwater port proposals for offshore oil and LNG facilities, assessing technical, financial, and environmental compliance to shape national maritime infrastructure. Provide Senior Strategic Advice: Serve as a principal technical authority on deepwater port licensing, delivering expert guidance, executive briefings, and policy recommendations to agency leaders, Departmental officials, and Congress. Support Port Property and Program Development: Conduct comprehensive economic and policy analyses to drive continuous program improvement and support the conveyance of surplus federal port property to local communities for public benefit.
