Testing Clerk

About the Position: The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, & Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD & the military services. Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining & processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces. This is a permanent position.

As a Testing Clerk, you will:

Conduct military enlistment aptitude and qualification examinations.

Perform qualify control of examination and applicable applicant information.

Distribute and Proctor examinations/tests.

Ensure 100% accountability and security of testing materials at all times.

Assist in conducting test material inventories.

Follow strict mailing guidelines for shipping materials.

Operate a variety of office automation equipment.

Score enlistment and high school ASVAB tests using an Optical Marker Reader(9OMR) Scanner.

Brief applicants regarding testing procedures.

Answer applicant questions regarding testing procedures.

Coordinate with appropriate offices to maintain office records.

Coordinate with appropriate personnel to arrange testing at various sits.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
