PA/NP – Family Practice & Urgent Care

We are a busy outpatient family practice with urgent care hours, seeking a reliable and experienced PRN Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Outpatient family and urgent care setting handling walk-ins and appointments. Work independently with physician support available via phone, text, or video. Perform procedures including Pap smears, laceration repair, ingrown toenail removal, mole excision, and incision & drainage.

Responsibilities: Provide diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up care of patients in an outpatient family practice and urgent care setting; Handle walk-in patients and scheduled appointments independently; Work independently with physician support available via phone, text, or video; Perform procedures such as Pap smears, laceration repair, ingrown toenail removal, mole excision, and incision & drainage; Order and interpret indicated diagnostic testing based upon evidence-based medicine; Utilize eClinicalWorks electronic medical record (EMR); Counseling and educating patients on health behaviors, self-care skills and treatment options; Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, infections and injuries; Diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure); Obtaining medical histories and conducting physical examinations; Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies (e.g., lab tests, x-rays, EKGs); Prescribing medications; Providing health maintenance care for adults, including annual physicals

Requirements: Active TX license & DEA; Minimum 1 year experience in family medicine/urgent care; Confident in handling patients and procedures independently; Familiarity with eClinicalWorks is a plus; Must be able to read, write and speak English; Excellent soft skills including listening, clear communication, and compassion
