Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinists for projects located in or around Michigan City, IN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $35-$40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Set up and operate manual lathes and machining equipment
• Set up and operate CNC equipment as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Machine parts to precise tolerances and dimensions
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow production schedules and work instructions

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating and setting up manual lathes 
• Experience with CNC equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency using micrometers and other precision measuring tools
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality control procedures
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in the *trade* field
• Must own basic Hand Tools
• Must wear proper PPE
