About the role

You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the FACILITIES, SUPPLY, and LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT, FACILITIES PLANNING and ENGINEERING DIVISION of NCTAMSLANT NORVA. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

You will troubleshoot facility equipment and system problems, develop and evaluate data and make recommendations and/or initiate corrective actions based on findings.

You will evaluate problems that involve electrical systems, electronic power systems and general overall electrical systems.

You will assemble and review drawings, specifications, manufacturer's changes and technical publications.

You will maintain current technical records of Electrical/Electro-Mechanical equipment and related components.

You will develop, from draft, completion performance of work statements, government cost estimates, equipment acceptance and test criteria, project time lines for facilities and equipment repairs, replacements, or upgrades.

Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position for the GG-11 position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements for the position. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements if the applicant can provide documentation indicating that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
