Career Level: People Leader 4 (L4)

Primary Purpose
Drives PMO (project management office) strategy and delivery for large, complex portfolios. Balances risk, capital, and execution priorities across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages the overall budget for the PMO and individual projects, ensuring financial responsibility and accountability.
• Manages multiple complex project quality assurance audits and serves as the internal quality control leader to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards.
• Develops and maintains a roadmap for project portfolios that support business strategy.
• Identifies and addresses complex risks and issues across project portfolios, ensuring timely and effective resolution in alignment with organizational priorities.
• Ensures the adherence of project governance processes, established quality standards, policies, and procedures and looks to continuously improve them.
• Develops and implements a robust resource management framework including capacity and demand planning, resource allocation, ensuring projects leverage these resource management techniques.
• Leads the deployment and ongoing optimization of project management tools and systems, ensuring they support operational efficiency, data accuracy, and effective project reporting across teams.
• Represents the PMO function with leadership and external stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

• Required: 10 years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Required: Ability to assess organizational execution effectiveness.
• Required: Ability to integrate PMO strategy with organizational objectives.
• Required: Ability to lead PMO initiatives spanning multiple business units.
• Required: Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise project and portfolio governance.
• Required: Knowledge of enterprise risk and performance management frameworks.
• Required: Skill in influencing leadership on prioritization decisions.
• Required: Skill in leading managers and multidisciplinary teams.
