Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Support in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide courteous customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and store personnel while helping create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter spaces.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and disruptive behavior.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
