About the role

This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Technology Data and Support Division, to provide a wide range of consolidated human resources management program functions to various Department of Defense (DOD) agencies and offices located in the National Capital Region (NCR) and for their field activities as specified.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Maintain responsibility for quality control of data entered by staff in the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and associated automated functional process improvement (FPI) systems. Assign work to subordinate employees based based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty, ensuring staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs. Provide authoritative guidance, advice, and policy interpretation regarding the legal technical accuracy of personnel actions and developing solutions to complex problems of program improvement in HR specialties. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Serves as Supervisor for HR IT Processing, planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Processing Branch, ensuring that human resources complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Responsible for providing the full range of HR advisory services and technical services to include the execution and implementation of HR processing with the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS).
