Job Description


Job Summary

Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional inpatient care to pediatric patients with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip/palate. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. Saturday and Sunday 7pm-7:30am

Key Responsibilities

  • The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment. 
  • The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. 
  • This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.  


Required Qualifications

  • RN License in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • BSN

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience in acute care nursing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
