About the role

About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT) Section, to deliver direct patient care across outpatient, inpatient, and Emergency Room (ER) settings. This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Perform computerized axial tomographic scanning (CT) and x-ray.

Receive patients, explain methods of procedures, position patients, and make exposures necessary for the requested examination.

Prepare the scanning room, assuring that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters and other required equipment are present and laid out.

Prepare and administer contrast material (IV) and limited number of anesthetic or antispasmodic drugs such as lidocaine, epinephrine and Benadryl under direction of radiologist.

Provide on-the-job training to new employees, both civilian and military.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
