Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Rio Grande Valley Sector, Targeting and Intelligence Division located in Edinburg, TX. Relocation Authorized Position: All relocations will be placed on hold at the time of selection, as USBP awaits to receive funding. As soon as funding becomes available, you will be contacted by the CBP Hiring Center to coordinate an enter on duty (EOD) date and complete the necessary relocation forms. This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally. The Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (Alliance to Combat Transnational Threats (ACTT) Director) serves as a secondary law enforcement officer under 5 U.S.C. 8331 (6C) and 8412 (d)), duties and responsibilities include: Overseeing all aspects of Targeting and Intelligence Division operations. Managing, directing, and coordinating activities aimed at preventing the illegal entry of noncitizens into the United States by land, water, or air. Identifying operational challenges and devising solutions to ensure compliance with enforcement and operational practices. Developing and implementing Station policies and guidelines within the framework of broad program objectives established at the Headquarters and Sector levels. Developing of collaborative and cooperative professional working relationships with counterparts in other state, local, tribal, foreign, private industry and Federal organizations. Providing subordinate supervisors with policy guidance and direction.
