Materials Expediter (Forklift Operator) Leader

About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisor and starts work.

Check work in progress and when finished, checks for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.

Urge or advise other employees to follow supervisor's instructions and to meet deadlines; demonstrate proper work methods.

Provide information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems.

Prepare materials for dispatching by using materials handling equipment to insure items are routed and dispatched without damage.

Operate electric, gas, and/or diesel powered forklift to move loads under 10,000 lbs.
