Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Affective Needs Special Education Teacher in Carbondale, CO. You’ll provide individualized instruction and meaningful behavioral and social-emotional support while helping students build confidence and skills for success.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
  • Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
  • Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
  • Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
  • Fingerprinting through OSPI
  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
