Job Overview

Farmers District 40 is seeking an energetic and ambitious Agent Trainee for our insurance sales and agency development program. This full-time opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the insurance industry. You will work closely with a top-performing Farmers Insurance agent, developing sales techniques and gaining insight into the business operations of a successful agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and follow up on leads provided by the agency and build your own pipeline

• Conduct outbound calls and engage potential customers

• Quote, sell, and cross-sell insurance products to new and existing clients

• Build referral relationships and seek new sales opportunities

• Meet and exceed set sales targets and goals

• Learn insurance agency operations, business processes, and workflow

• Gain exposure to sales leadership, team development, and recruiting

• Support marketing, lead generation, and customer retention initiatives

• Participate in financial management, budgeting, and profitability planning

• Understand technology systems, compliance, and risk management within an agency setting

Qualifications

• Previous sales, customer service, or management experience preferred

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Goal-oriented and comfortable in a performance-driven environment

• Willing to make outbound calls and prospect for new business

• Available to work full-time, Monday through Friday

• Must be willing and able to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license

• Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset with motivation to learn and succeed

• Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required
