About the role

The Last Mile Delivery Manager owns the performance, reliability, and customer experience of Stellantis’ final-mile delivery network across North America. This role is the front line of the customer promise: every dealer, independent aftermarket account, circular economy partner, AER (Accelerated Exchange and Return) location, and ecommerce customer depends on this team to deliver the right part, on time, every time. The Last Mile Delivery Manager drives on-time performance (OTP), holds Logistics Lead Providers (LLPs) and carriers rigorously accountable to defined standards, and continuously benchmarks the network against best-in-class practice to identify novel, innovative ways of doing business. This is a customer-obsessed, standards-driven leadership role that blends daily operational execution with long-term strategy and carrier performance management.

Customer Experience & On-Time Delivery:

  • Make customer service the defining measure of success — own the end-to-end delivery experience for dealers, independent aftermarket customers, and ecommerce buyers, and treat every missed delivery as a customer issue, not just an operational one.
  • Drive relentless focus on on-time performance (OTP) across all delivery flows, setting targets, tracking daily results, and leading rapid root-cause resolution when performance slips.
  • Serve as the escalation point for service failures, working cross-functionally to resolve customer-impacting issues quickly and communicate transparently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with dealer networks and the Dealer Guild to represent the voice of the customer back into transportation strategy.

Daily Delivery Operations — All Flows:

  • Manage daily delivery execution across OE (Original Equipment), Independent Aftermarket, Circular Economy, AER, ecommerce, and all other outbound delivery flows, ensuring consistent service levels regardless of channel.
  • Monitor daily dispatch, routing, and delivery status in real time; proactively identify and resolve exceptions before they impact the customer.
  • Partner with DDS carriers, LLP outbound partners and regional carrier networks to ensure coverage and capacity align with daily and seasonal demand.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse, dispatch, and inventory teams to ensure delivery readiness and minimize delay-causing handoffs.

Carrier & LLP Accountability:

  • Implement, document, and enforce delivery standards and service-level agreements (SLAs) across all LLPs and carriers — leaving no ambiguity about what "good" looks like.
  • Hold carriers and LLPs formally accountable through structured performance reviews, carrier scorecards, and corrective action plans when standards are not met.
  • Own carrier OTP, EPOD (Electronic Proof of Delivery) scan performance, and claims performance metrics; drive continuous improvement plans with underperforming partners.
  • Manage the carrier scorecard process end-to-end, ensuring metrics are accurate, timely, and tied to real consequences and recognition.
  • Interface with purchasing to help negotiate and manage contracts, rates, and performance terms with carriers and LLPs in partnership with procurement and sourcing teams.

Benchmarking, Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Benchmark Stellantis’ last mile performance against industry best practices and competitor networks; bring outside perspective into the organization.
  • Champion novel and innovative approaches to last mile delivery — evaluating new technologies, route optimization tools, delivery models, and network designs that improve speed, cost, and reliability.
  • Identify and lead cost-savings initiatives across the last mile network, contributing to enterprise cost-reduction targets.
  • Partner with IAM (Independent Aftermarket) and TMS/YMS (Transportation/Yard Management System) implementation teams to modernize tools, data visibility, and automation across the network.
  • Use data and reporting (Power BI dashboards, carrier scorecards, KPI tracking) to guide decisions and present performance transparently to leadership.

Standards, Governance & Team Leadership:

  • Develop, document, and roll out consistent operating standards across all last mile flows and carrier partners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations analysts, supervisors, and coordinators supporting last mile execution.
  • Support new launch readiness and special network projects (e.g., network optimization studies, greenfield studies, route redesigns).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and cross-border requirements applicable to North American transportation operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation, last mile delivery, or logistics operations, including direct carrier and/or LLP management.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving on-time performance and holding external partners accountable to service standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using KPI dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with experience engaging dealers, customers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple delivery flows and channels simultaneously (OE, aftermarket, ecommerce, reverse logistics, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), or route optimization platforms.
  • Background in automotive, parts distribution, or high-volume ecommerce fulfillment networks.
  • Experience managing 3PL/LLP relationships and negotiating carrier contracts and rate structures.
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement certification.
  • Familiarity with circular economy, reverse logistics, or AER (Accelerated Exchange and Return) programs.
