Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Library assistants support overall library operations.

• They work under the Head of Circulation, managing inventory and completing customer-facing tasks.

• Library assistant duties and responsibilities can include:

• Locating books and other library materials, such as periodicals and DVDs.

• Working at the circulation desk to check out books and process returns.

• Shelving books and organizing collections according to the Library of Congress classification system.

• Answering patrons’ questions about library events and resources.

• Completing clerical work and related duties.

• Stacks maintenance.

• Helping visitors operate on-site technology, and WEPA printing.

• Participating in library events.

• Other library duties as needed, including special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a registered student in the posted semester.

Anticipated Schedule:

• flexibility during Monday - Friday, 8 am - 10 pm, part-time (20 hours max).
