About the role

Position: Production Team Lead - ASC Fan Blade Value Stream - Weaving, K shift (Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Job Purpose: 

The Production Team Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in manufacturing processes. This position involves leading a team of manufacturing technicians, coordinating schedules, and managing workflow to achieve production targets. Additionally, the Production Team Lead is responsible for quality assurance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Responsible for all aspects related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Team productivity (SQDCT) of the assigned department. 
  • Support daily activities outlined by the Supervisor to ensure the team meets quality and production objectives. 
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes to facilitate workflow and address any challenges efficiently. 
  • Monitor and optimize production processes, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality. 
  • Assist with resolving any safety, quality or production issues identified in the department. 
  • Communicate production updates, issues, and performance metrics to supervisors and management. 

Supervisory Responsibility: No 

Qualifications/Characteristics:  

  • High School diploma or GED required. 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a manufacturing technician required. 
  • Currently Certified in department-specific products and manufacturing processes. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on safety, production, and quality. 
  • Excellent attendance record and no recorded disciplinary actions within the last 6 months. 
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative work environment. 

Working Conditions: 

Production floor environment, duties performed indoors, moderate to quiet noise and comfortable temperatures. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition levels. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate. 

Physical requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. 
  • Capable of lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 35 pounds. 
  • Manual dexterity to operate production equipment and tools. 
  • Visual acuity to inspect products and detect quality issues.
